This artwork is inspired by the legacy of Masjid Al-Aqsa — the second house of worship ever built on Earth, just 40 years after the Kaaba, and a sacred site connected to countless prophets. From Adam (AS) to Ibrahim (AS), Musa (AS), Isa (AS), and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — who led all the prophets in prayer there during the Night Journey — Al-Aqsa stands as a timeless symbol of divine unity.
The figure on horseback represents Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi, who liberated Jerusalem in 1187 CE (583 AH) from Crusader rule, restoring dignity and peace to this holy land. This piece captures the spirit of faith, justice, and sacred responsibility that echoes through Al-Aqsa’s past and future.
